Newcastle Tamil school is the pioneer Tamil school which runs by Newcastle Tamil Sangam. Newcastle Tamil school operates under the guidance of New South Wales Federation of Community Language Schools. As we know, Language is the bridge to it’s heritage and culture. To this end, The Newcastle Tamil Sangam started a Tamil School with the aim of offering a supportive and enjoyable learning experience for children who wish to learn Tamil. As the number of children enrolling in the school has grown, teaching is now delivered in 2 groups – for younger and older children in separate groups. The school is run by dedicated volunteer teachers from the Tamil Sangam. This also offers a great opportunity for the parents and families to meet on a regular basis.
Enrollment is free of cost. The classes are currently run on Sundays from 10 to 12pm at Garden Suburb Public School, Prospect Road, Garden Suburb, NSW 2289.
